Nico Venkataramani, founder of SPARKEEY, introduces a groundbreaking calendar app that blends social connection with purpose for Gen Z and Gen Alpha at Most Contagious New York

Nico Venkataramani, founder of Sparkeey, took the stage to unveil the groundbreaking calendar app designed with Gen Z and Gen Alpha in mind. Highlighting the distinct social behaviours and values of these younger generations, Venkataramani emphasised that traditional tech tools haven’t adapted to their unique needs. Sparkeey, she explained, goes beyond being just a functional calendar, and transforms scheduling into a purposeful and impactful experience for users, creators and brands alike.
This is ‘social media in the form of a calendar’, Venkataramani declared, setting the stage for Sparkeey’s innovative positioning. She shared that the concept was born out of conversations at Cannes Lions, where the need for a more dynamic and socially connected calendar tool first came to light. Recognising that Gen Z and Gen Alpha are educated, informed, and value-driven, these qualities shaped its UI/UX design – as it’s intentionally crafted to reduce stress while encouraging meaningful interactions between influencers, users and brands.
One of Sparkeey’s standout features is its AI-powered QR code generator, enabling users to exchange and customise their social profiles. Whether it’s Instagram, TikTok, Discord, or LinkedIn, users can seamlessly integrate and share through multiple channels. But Sparkeey doesn’t stop at convenience, it’s also a tool for creators and brands to enhance engagement. From promoting events and gathering real-time feedback to facilitating product launches, Sparkeey allows influencers and businesses to connect with their audiences purposefully.

For example, an athlete can use Sparkeey to share details about an upcoming game and gauge fan interest through simple interactive features. Similarly, influencers can spark excitement for projects, while brands can build anticipation for product drops, crypto launches, or NFT sales. By integrating utility with social features, Sparkeey aims to redefine how young people engage with scheduling tools.
Venkataramani highlighted Sparkeey’s versatility, noting that it serves creators and influencers with audiences ranging from under 10,000 followers to over a million. The platform offers features tailored to both ends of the spectrum, making it a valuable tool for community building at all scales. ‘Think of it as an evolved form of Instagram or YouTube ads and sponsorships’, she explained, adding that Sparkeey provides a real opportunity to reach users where they’re most active.
With its blend of utility and social connection, Sparkeey is more than just a calendar – it’s a platform designed to meet the evolving needs of younger generations. Venkataramani expressed her confidence in the app’s potential to reach the cultural impact of platforms like TikTok, envisioning it as the most loved scheduler for Gen Z and Gen Alpha.
As she wrapped up her talk, Venkataramani shared her excitement for Sparkeey’s future, emphasising plans to expand collaborations with brands, influencers, athletes and students to ‘step into the future’.
